ā€œā€œFinally, he came to his senses. He said, ā€˜How many of my fatherā€™s hired men have more food than they can eat, while Iā€™m starving to death here? Iā€™ll go at once to my father, and Iā€™ll say to him, ā€œFather, Iā€™ve sinned against heaven and you.ā€

If like me youā€™ve had times in your life when you felt you were too far gone to get back on track with God, then Iā€™ve got news for you.
You might even be at that point right now where you feel like God is disappointed in you, maybe because you fell into that habit again, you didnā€™t pray as much, you stopped going to church or you lied, got jealous, gossiped or stole.

Someone reading this probably feels like ā€œFola what I have done is much worse than all theseā€. Well, it doesnā€™t matter. Just stay with me.

There are so many lessons I have learned from the story of the prodigal son aka the story of the loving father, which is why I use it a lot in my discussions.

One of the things we should take note of is ā€œwhat mattered to the fatherā€. After the young man took his inheritance (that he didnā€™t necessarily work for ooo) and squandered it on all sorts of frivolous and ungodly things, he decided to go back home due to much suffering. Lol. (Fam! He was broker than the pigs šŸ¤£šŸ¤£ Please donā€™t wait till you get to that stage).

He thought about the life he was living and decided that he could do better even by being a servant in his fatherā€™s house.

While some parents will want you to weep and gnash your teeth after the terrible things you did, this young manā€™s father ran to embrace him, didnā€™t ask any questions and instructed the household to clean him up and kill the fattest cow for a feast.
What a loving father. He didnā€™t want to hear the young manā€™s tales of woe, He was just too happy that His son redirected and came home.

Our God is the creator of destinies, so no matter how much you think youā€™ve missed your way, He is willing to carve a new path for you.
It is never too late to live in Godā€™s plans, Never! It is never too early to commit to His ways either.

If you erred somehow and you need to redirect your heart and steps, be rest assured that those loving arms are wide open to receive you. No matter how many times youā€™ve repented, it is never better to stay on the wrong path.

For some strange reason, some people want to fix their mess before going back to God. They just want to get it right before getting back to being a worker in church.
Lol! Itā€™s funny how you think you can do it without God. Condemnation doesnā€™t lead to repentance, neither does it give grace. It is the goodness of God that leads to repentance and the knowledge of God that multiplies Grace.

ā€œOr do you despise the riches of His goodness, forbearance, and longsuffering, not knowing that the goodness of God leads you to repentance?ā€
ā€ā€Romansā€¬ ā€2:4ā€¬ ā€NKJVā€¬ā€¬

ā€œGrace and peace be yours in abundance through the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord.ā€
ā€ā€2 Peterā€¬ ā€1:2ā€¬ ā€NIVā€¬ā€¬

You canā€™t get it right without God, so make that turn, take that step and find your way back to your ABBA.

Why donā€™t you ever wait behind for youth meeting?? Change!! šŸ¤£šŸ¤£šŸ¤£

He is willing!

ā€œWHEN JESUS came down from the mountain, great throngs followed Him. And behold, a leper came up to Him and, prostrating himself, worshiped Him, saying, Lord, if You are willing, You are able to cleanse me by curing me. And He reached out His hand and touched him, saying, I am willing; be cleansed by being cured. And instantly his leprosy was cured and cleansed.ā€
ā€ā€Matthewā€¬ ā€8:1-3ā€¬ ā€AMPCā€¬ā€¬

Ever wanted something and wondered if God would want to give it to you? Ever wanted something and didnā€™t get it then just concluded that it wasnā€™t necessary because God couldnā€™t be bothered about it?

Well, you were wrong. That was your unbelief speaking. Youā€™re a Christian, you can access anything and everything you want. How do I know? In our theme scripture above, the leper was asking Jesus if He (Jesus) was willing to heal him (the leper) and Jesus in His mercies answered positively – I am Willing.

That answer is not just for that leper, it is for you. Stop asking God at this time if He is willing to give you money or a house or a job. Stop praying ā€œGod if it be thy willā€ because you wonā€™t get anything that way. Why? Itā€™s unbelief.

ā€œTherefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.ā€
ā€ā€Markā€¬ ā€11:24ā€¬ ā€KJVā€¬ā€¬

I canā€™t remember a time in the Bible when Jesus quickly ran to consult God to know if He was willing to multiply the bread or the wine, or when you first consulted God to know if He was willing to let you breathe today.

I feel like sometimes when we ask God some questions, Heā€™s just like, ā€œreally? Fola, really?? I said in my word that you are heirs of me and joint heirs with Christ and youā€™re asking if I am willing to give 500k? Or even a job or a healingā€. We have access to these things.

Elisha is not even as great as you. You carry the essence of divinity inside you. I think we should start by finding out who God is, then go ahead to find out who we are from the Bible. Youā€™ll be amazed. Weā€™re not scratching the surface, not to talk of launching into the deep of the things God has given us.

In 2 Kings 4, Elisha just sharpish, without stress, did like 4 miracles that blew my mind. He gave an instruction that multiplied oil, he raised the dead, he neutralized poison and he fed 100 men with food meant for only him. Trust God, there were remnants. Why canā€™t this be you? Unbelief.

I advice we stop shortchanging ourselves with unbelief. Jesus said nothing will be impossible to us if we believe. He also said He is willing, so please, whatā€™s your excuse?

Be who God has called you to be already!

A Psalm for my loving Abba

Heā€™s the reason I can relax and breathe!

ā€œGood people, cheer GOD! Right-living people sound best when praising. Use guitars to reinforce your Hallelujahs! Play his praise on a grand piano! Invent your own new song to him; give him a trumpet fanfare.ā€ Psalm 33:1-3 MSG

Invent your own new song to Him!! Isnā€™t that remarkable? A couple of people asked me if I meant they they could write their own Psalms and I said ā€œYesā€ in the most excited way šŸ˜„šŸ˜„

Just as easily as you speak to God, you can write to God or write to everyone about God. I know some of you wanted to do the Psalm thing but havenā€™t gotten around it yet. I encourage you to go right ahead. Write a Psalm this week and send it to me. Iā€™ll be glad to publish it in TMC blog. šŸ’ƒšŸ½

Enjoy my 3rd psalm. I havenā€™t published the second though. Lol. God really does show up for me all the time fam. I am a small girl with a Big Big God. which means Iā€™m a big girl, right? I want to encourage you to hinge all your plans and pursuits of this God, Heā€™s more than willing and able to help you. Enjoy!

When I look at trouble around me, I see boisterous waves trying to overwhelm me.

Then I shift my eyes from the things of the world and set my eyes on you, suddenly my heart begins to overflow with joy.

You have never failed Lord and you will never fail. I see your loving arms wrapped around me at all times.

You make me strong when Iā€™m weak and you are fond of giving me a reason to smile when circumstances do otherwise.

You are love and you are light. I couldnā€™t be or do anything without you.

Even the times when I feel unworthy of your love due to my missteps, you keep assuring me of this unending, unconditional love you have for me.

Trouble has faded because it canā€™t stand the Joy you give. My faith is renewed by your love.

Now I see your light, I see your love, I see your greatness and your works and I know that I will get through anything and everything, because You are my Father, my ABBA. ā¤ļøā¤ļøā¤ļø

Thank you for coming here again. Please share this, like this and comment!!! I love you so Mach!

AMP – A Millennialā€™s Psalms

ā€œAnd donā€™t get drunk with wine, which leads to reckless actions, but be filled by the Spirit: speaking to one another in psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, singing and making music from your heart to the Lord, giving thanks always for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ,ā€
ā€ā€Ephesiansā€¬ ā€5:18-20ā€¬ ā€HCSBā€¬ā€¬

Donā€™t you just love the life of a Christian?

It is filled with so many beautiful things. The Bible says we can speak to one another in Psalms, Hymns and Spiritual songs. Thatā€™s amazing!

Wondering what a Psalm really is?

The moment I realized that Psalms are not for King David alone, I decided that I would absolutely write thousand of love notes to my Papa.

I hope you are blessed and inspired by AMP to write a Psalm or a Song and express yourself to the glory of God. Hereā€™s my first Psalm, do enjoy it.

1. A Psalm of gratitude Thank you so much papa.

Thank you for loving me and lifting me. Thank you for being my strength in times of weakness and my voice when I donā€™t have the words.

Thank you for the daily miracles you have done in, through and for me.

My heart overflows with gratitude when I think about how much you have done for me.

My God, the exceeder of expectations, the strong and mighty, the father of fathers, my Hero, my Lord.

I will never be able to thank you enough, but Iā€™ll go on and on and never stop.

Thank you my Lord from now till eternity.

Donā€™t forget to like, share and drop a comment if you have been blessed. Keep Seeing yourself through the eyes of God ā¤ļø

Who is He?

ā€œBut without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.ā€
ā€¬ā€¬
ā€ā€Hebrewsā€¬ ā€11:6ā€¬ ā€NKJV

David.

David is an amazing individual. I keep learning from him when reading scriptures. God even called him a man after His heart. Jesus also said He is the root and the offspring of David. Wawu

Have you ever wondered why? Because fam, David did a number of things that were not pleasing to God. So logically, God shouldnā€™t be that crazy about him.

I think about King David a lot. A whooole lot. I just like to think about his actions and his communications and his heart for God, because Iā€™m interested in that kind of PDA between him and God.

About an hour ago, I decided to do laundry so I needed a companion (I didnā€™t want to be thinking random thoughts about staring in a Tyler Perry movie, starting my Youtube Channel and all that šŸ˜‚).

I thought about music but I didnā€™t really want a lot of sound, so I settled for the Audio Bible. The Holy Spirit led me to pick the Psalms and use the Message Translation.

I was flabbergasted. David!! Daviiiid! I see some reasons why God loves this man. David knew God and personalized Him so much. To David, God was for him and him alone.

He cried to God all the time, He went to Him when he was in trouble, when he messed up, when he needed help, when he was excited…every time!

You need to read the Bible in a more modern translation than KJV to understand the level of intimacy that was between God and David. All those ā€œthouā€ ā€œthyā€ words sometimes donā€™t communicate emotions to us.

This is the summary: David Knew His God.

He describes God as so many things, past present and future. He was always so sure that God would answer him and save him. Even when God didnā€™t answer, he just believed that God was pissed like an angry spouse and would eventually come around.

Guess what? God always did.

David knew his God and he took advantage of that relationship. He knew God through the relationship anyway. He had heard about God from other people, but that wasnā€™t enough, he knew this God for himself.

Let me ask you, who is God to you?

David acknowledged God. He saw God in everything! He knew it was God who gave him sleep, he knew it was God who gave him wealth, he knew it was God who helped him win his battles and conquer his enemies, he knew it was God who made him king. In fact he couldnā€™t separate anything in his life from God.

David always, always had a testimony. Not because God showed up for him more than you or me, but because he acknowledged God more in his life.

If you donā€™t have testimonies, itā€™s not because God hasnā€™t done anything wow for you, itā€™s because you thought it was normal stuff. If you didnā€™t acknowledge the small ones, you also wonā€™t recognize the big.

You got a promotion but all you have to say is ā€œEverybody gets one at this level naaā€

David would have said ā€œI thank my God who gives me a promotion all the time. He never lets me stay stagnant and His love for me is endlessā€.

The testimony part is just an example, but can you relate?

Who is God to you?

Our theme scripture says that you must know God and His rewarder nature, if not you cannot please Him. I guess you know why David pleased God now.

It is time to get up close and personal with this God. Bombard Him with all the details of your life like David, love His presence and Love His company. Find out what He loves and love it too. Study more about Him and discuss things with Him, Worship and reverence Him.

At every point in your life, God is present. Take advantage of that presence from now.

Thank you for reading! Please leave a comment and shaaaaare! Jesus loves you, I do too. ā¤ļøā¤ļøā¤ļø

Surrounded

ā€œFor to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Because the carnal mind is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God, nor indeed can be. So then, those who are in the flesh cannot please God.ā€

Romans 8:6-8 NKJV

A couple of weeks ago the Holy Spirit instructed me to move from Twitter. Like, totally make the move to Instagram.

I didnā€™t argue because Twitter was stressing me out anyway. I am a very emotional person and I soak a lot of things happening around me in.

For instance, when I watch a movie, I tend to reflect one of the characters. You know that thing kids do after watching cartoon, yea Iā€™m that person. šŸ˜‹šŸ˜‹šŸ˜‹

The negativity and the toxicity were getting to me, and on Twitter, thereā€™s almost no where to hide. So when God told me to leave, I completely understood and agreed. I moved to Instagram, did some unfollowing and following and in the first 3 days, I began to see why.

I got quickly hooked up with a lot of young people who talk about faith, some that I already had and some that I just met. Itā€™s one of the things that has fueled my spirit for this blog.

I promise you, it has been the best thing ever!

I began to see that it really matters what youā€™re taking in, it matters what surrounds you. Weā€™re in such a contaminated space already (the world), so the least you could do for your spirit man is to surround yourself with the things of God.

Watch things that edify you, not pull you away. Listen to Christian music, follow fellow believers and like minds on social media, talk to your Christian friends or siblings, and see how your walk with God gets better.

Iā€™m not saying you should leave Social Media, but sometimes, the truth is that we all need a little detox from time to time. This is not the time to get distracted by the things of the world. Thereā€™s a wave of the spirit that is moving people to preach the gospel, to talk about God openly on social media, but you wonā€™t know if youā€™re all stuck up in ā€œTrends and Gistsā€.

Jesus is coming soon! Not that kind of soon that will take another 2 generations, no. Soon like, in our lifetime.

If spiritual productivity is anything you desire, if moving with the spirit is anything you crave, I urge you today, to clear the debris. Check your playlist, check your social media, check the people you hang out with the most and make a change if need be.

Donā€™t talk about how your love for God is waning when you are so neck deep in the things of the world, donā€™t complain about addiction when you fuel its fire by the things you surround yourself with.

Until youā€™re wearing a red shirt, you wonā€™t see that thereā€™s so many people wearing red. Deep calls into deep. Spiritual unto spiritual. Shallow unto shallow I guess…

So the question is – What are you surrounded by?
